O natural da pedra
É não é ser esquadrejada
É não formar contraforte,
E nem arco
Que desafie a gravidade.
Tal como o homem,
A pedra gosta mesmo
É de ser despojada
E de viver espalhada por aí
Em qualquer lugar.
Nunca de ficar perfilada
O tempo todo
Na rígida disciplina
Do eterno mister de ser ponte.

It's not being squared
It is not to form a buttress,
